Canada in the Post-2015 World
A half-day panel discussing the implications of the Paris Climate Change Conference and the SDGs for Canada and the international community.
The Paris Agreement marks a historic breakthrough: all governments agreed to tackle climate change through mitigation and adaptation.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) also similarly mark a historic breakthrough, as countries agreed in September 2015 to advance coherent and universal sustainable development goals and targets.
What are in these agreements? What are the key challenges in implementation? What does Canada need to do at home and abroad?
The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in collaboration with the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) were pleased to host a half-day panel to discuss the implications of the Paris Climate Change Conference and the SDGs for Canada and the international community.
