Accommodation / Hébergement
All of the participants will stay at Hotel Novotel (bed and breakfast) where the workshop will take place.
Tous les participants seront logés à l'hôtel Novotel (petit déjeuner inclus).
Visa
ECOWAS and EU citizens as well as Americans and Canadians do not need an entry visa to Senegal for a three-month stay. The other nationals including those from Denmark should get in touch with the Senegalese embassy or consulate of their country to ask for a visa.
Les ressortissants des pays membres de la CEDEAO et de l'Union Européenne ainsi que du Canada et des Etats Unis n'ont pas besoin de visa d'entrée au Sénégal pour un séjour de 90 jours. Les ressortissants originaires des autres pays y compris le Danemark doivent s'adresser à l'ambassade ou au consulat du Sénégal de leur pays pour l'obtention d'un visa.
Transportation / Transport
Taxis from and to the airport are hired at a fixed rate depending on the time: around 5 and 7 USD at most in any case. However, the hotel has got a shuttle from/to the airport for all individual passengers (and guests) who stay (or want to) at Novotel.
Les prix pour le taxi à partir de l'aéroport vers un autre point de la ville sont fixés au forfait de 3000 FCFA et 3900 FCFA (vérifier sur l'enseigne de la station de taxis), de 6H à 24H et de 24H à 6H respectivement. L'hôtel dispose cependant d'une navette pour tous les passagers (et clients) de Novotel. Les participants (patients) qui le veulent peuvent le prendre.
Working languages
Oral communications will be made in English and French. Simultaneous interpretation in English and French will be available.
Les communications se feront en anglais et en français avec un service de traduction simultanée.
Catering Service
Arrangements have been made for all of the participants to have lunch together at the hotel during the workshop (from 17 - 21 July only).
Tous les participants prendront le déjeuner ensemble à l'hôtel durant tout le séminaire. Les participants se prendront en charge pour les dîners et les repas des autres jours.
Weather / Météo
The weather is hot and (in principle) rainy in July. Temperature range: between 22° and 30°C.
En juillet le temps est chaud et pluvieux (en principe). La température tournera entre 22° et 30°C.
Sightseeing / Site touristique
Some participants may want to visit the Goree Island (3 kms from Dakar). They can make their own arrangements for that.
Les participants qui le veulent peuvent s'arranger à visiter l'île de Gorée située à 3 kms au large de Dakar.
Vaccination
Vaccination against yellow fever is required.
Un certificat de vaccination contre la fièvre jaune est exigé des voyageurs en provenance de tous les pays.
Currency / Monnaie
The local currency is the CFA Franc. Rate: FF1 = CFA Franc 100. There is an exchange bureau at the hotel.
La monnaie locale est le Franc CFA. Taux: 1FF = 100 FCFA. Il y a un bureau de change à l'hôtel.
Power / Electricité
The voltage is 220. French plugs are needed for connections.
