Participants will assess knowledge; global, regional and national efforts; and available capacity on fisheries and biodiversity conservation in ABNJ, with the aim of identifying gaps and capacity needs. The workshop will also share lessons learned and emerging trends in development, management and research on ABNJ from around the world and establish cross-sectoral linkages for improved information sharing on ABNJ. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and the Global Ocean Forum are organizing the workshop, in collaboration with other partners.
