Knowledge Manager

Marlene Roy is responsible for the development and management of IISD’s research resources including management of the Research Library and development of IISD’s database on sustainable development policy (http://sd-cite.iisd.org/ ). She writes content for the Research Library website ‘GENERata: knowledge for future generations’ (http://ic.iisd.org) and oversees production of the ‘Weekly Journal Review’ list serv. She responds to requests for information on IISD and on sustainable development from the public and IISD staff and associates, writes literature reviews on topics relevant to IISD’s program work, compiles bibliographies on sustainable development and organizes and facilitates internal seminars.

In addition to research in the fields of poverty-ecosystem linkages, gender and social policy related to sustainable development, she leads IISD’s operational sustainable development assessment and reporting and is responsible for compiling IISD’s ‘Ideas Marketplace Bulletin.’ Marlene has over 25 years of experience in management and research and has been with IISD since 1994.
