» AssociateFiona Marshall is an Associate and an international legal advisor to IISD’s Trade and Investment team. Fiona is a lawyer based in Geneva specializing in international sustainable development law, with a particular focus on governance and the impacts of foreign investment on human rights and the environment. Besides her work with IISD, Fiona has provided legal services to the United Nations on environmental issues since 2005. Between 1997 and 2004 Fiona practised as a litigation lawyer with commercial law firms in Ireland and New Zealand, representing corporate clients at all judicial levels and in commercial arbitrations. She has also worked with human rights organizations in India, Vietnam and the United Kingdom.
