Teya Penniman

» Writer/Editor Earth Negotiations Bulletin
Teya Penniman lives in Hawaii, where the impacts of global trade on island biodiversity are particularly evident. She is a lawyer-manager-biologist-writer, currently working to protect the islands of Maui Nui from invasive species. Her legal studies focused on natural resources, international environmental law, and alternative dispute resolution. Her master’s work concentrated on economics of natural resources. Teya’s eclectic background includes working as a seabird biologist on remote islands, working as a state assistant attorney general, and facilitating complex natural resource processes. She worked with ENB in the late 1990s and early 2000s, mostly on CBD meetings.
