The economic dimension looks at the economic performance of IISD by considering intangible assets such as human capital and how IISD's activities can potentially change the economic status of its many stakeholders, through policy change, capacity building and hiring of employees and contractors.

This year, our focus is internal, and we are measuring IISD's investment in human capital—our employees. Traditional financial accounting measures, which inform management and stakeholders about the financial health of the organization, are published in IISD's annual report.
