Frédéric Gagnon-Lebrun

Associate and Program Leader, Climate Change Mitigation

Frédéric Gagnon-Lebrun is a climate change expert and policy analyst. He is also an experienced manager and entrepreneur with more than 12 years of experience on climate change and carbon markets.

Over the past 9 years, Frédéric built and spearheaded a climate change and carbon market consulting firm, ÉcoRessources Carbone Inc. Under his leadership, the practice grew to 15 economists, policy experts and technical specialists in 6 cities across the Americas.

Over the years, Frédéric has led or contributed to a diversity of consultancy assignments and studies for both public and private sector clients. His work includes projects assessing carbon pricing policies and emissions markets, developing corporate carbon management strategies, analyzing issues related to adaptation to climate change and providing advisory services to governments engaged in the international negotiations on climate change.

Before ÉcoRessources, Frédéric worked on GHG mitigation and adaptation to climate change issues for the Quebec Government, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the Institute for Environmental Studies in Amsterdam.

Frédéric has worked in Canada, Europe, and Latin America and currently resides in Brussels.
