Efrain Anibal Diaz Arrivillaga


Efrain Anibal Diaz Arrivillaga has over 30 years of experience as a consultant and advisor in economic, social and rural development; sustainable human development; strategic planning; poverty reduction; company development; human rights; and governability.

Efrain has held several teaching posts in Honduras, his most recent as professor in the Faculty of Economic Science at the National Autonomous University of Honduras.

Efrain served in the Honduran National Congress, and was president of the Christian Democratic Party of Honduras, advisor to the Political Committee and founder and leader of the internal political movement CONSENSO. He served as Vice Minister of Natural Resources, was a presidential candidate in Honduras in 1989 and was elected to the Central American Parliament for a five-year term.

Efrain has served as ambassador of Honduras to the Federal Republic of Germany; non-resident ambassador in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland and Turkey; and Permanent Representative Ambassador of Honduras to the United Nations and other international organizations in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
