Julie Taylor


Julie Taylor is a doctoral candidate at Oxford University, researching environment and development projects in southern Africa. Her work looks at the use of maps and geographic information technologies by indigenous San communities and NGOs in remote parts of Namibia, where she has done fieldwork since 2003. Julie holds an MPhil in Development Studies from Oxford and a BA in Social Anthropology from Cambridge. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe, went to school in India for two years, and loves the outdoors.
