Nola-Kate Seymoar

Nola-Kate Seymoar served as the Executive Director of the We the Peoples: 50 Communities Awards Program and is currently the Deputy to the President of the International Institute for Sustainable Development. She is well known internationally for her role as Executive Director of ECO-ED (Education and Communication on Environment and Development), a World Congress held in 1992 as the first major follow-up to the Earth Summit.

Dr. Seymoar's career has spanned four sectors - public policy (as a senior executive in the Government of Canada), academia (as a university professor and counsellor), business (as an entrepreneur in film and video) and non-government organizations (as Chair of "Smart Risk", the Canadian Injury Prevention Foundation, and a member of The Centre for Days of Peace).

She is a member of the International Commission for Occupational Health, American Academy of Psychotherapists, Physicians for Global Responsibility (Canada), Institute for Public Administraton of Canada, and the Governor General's Canadian Study Conference Alumni.
