Suvit Yodmani

Suvit Yodmani served on this International Panel of Advisors until May of l994 when he accepted a position as the Regional Director for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). Prior to that he was Vice President for Development of the Asian Institute of Technology, Chair of the Bangkok Metropolitan Governor's Advisory Council on the Environment, Chair of Fund for Life and Environment and Chair of the Thai-Canada Economic Cooperation Foundation. He is the Founder and Director of the Thai National Identity Board, Chair of the Committee on Media Production for Democracy. He was also director of the Foundation for the Promotion of Nature Conservation and Environmental Protection (PNEP) and Editor of the PNEP Newsletter.

During the 1980s, Suvit Yodmani was a government spokesperson and served as an advisor and Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister of Thailand.
