Brief Description
AAEFAB provides care for children who have been or are threatened with abandonment. Thirty percent of the children are foundlings. Child-care for newborns is provided while their parent has an opportunity to establish a home or until they are accepted by a new family. AAEFAB was instrumental in promoting a law facilitating adoption which allows the child's use of the adopting family's name.
