Brief Description
This Foundation represents an experiment in involving the public in a program to restore and conserve the heritage of their city, Calcutta, as well as their individual neighbourhoods and communities. Their search for the past began in the crowded, forgotten northern quarter of the city. This is where the oldest, most graceful building still stand. Residents are learning new things about their city and they are taking pride in their discoveries.
