Brief Description
This coalition of over 500 organizations from the private and non-governmental sector has actively pursued a participatory peace process. They developed a national Peace Agenda, including practical plans for its implementation in seven priority areas. A non-partisan coalition, the NPC has worked effectively with the government Commission for National Unity and with the opposition forces. It is a practical demonstration of a progressive peace-building process which tackles the underlying issues of poverty, development and cultural identity in an inclusive and imaginative way.
